Weddings

Rabbi Tillman,
Now that all the dust has settled- our Icelandic honeymoon was great…thank you notes are (mostly) out, + photos and videos are in – we wanted to take a moment to let you know how very happy + grateful we were to have you preside over our ceremony. You + Fr. Jacob did such an outstanding job – you touched many hearts with your thoughtful + funny words and spiritual leadership. So many guests had the nicest things to say about the ceremony. It was especially important for Eric + me to share some of our own faith traditions with our families – you and Fr.Jacob do a great service to bring greater understanding to the community. Again, we are truly blessed to have met you + look forward to crossing paths again.
With love,
Kelly + Eric

Dear Rabbi Tillman,
Thank you so much for everything with the wedding and leading up to it. You have been a Source of Wisdom and taught us so many things. Everyone commented on how genuine and funny you were. Anyone who had a chance to meet you and talk with you left a conversation smiling and/or laughing. Thank you so much and you will be hearing from us soon.
Much love + many thanks,
Ian + Kristen

Dear Rabbi Tillman,
Katie and I cannot thank you enough for leading such a wonderful ceremony. It was such an honor to have you ushering Katie and I into our life as a married couple. The ceremony was beautiful and we have you to thank for it. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

Dear Rabbi Tillman,
We just wanted to send you a quick note and say thank you SO much for performing our wedding! The service was just the way we imagined and wanted it to be. We also got a ton of compliments from our guests. They said it was probably the most fun they had ever had during a ceremony! And that was especially great for our guests who had never seen a Jewish wedding. Thank you again, it wouldn’t have been the same without you.
Much love,
Bekki and Eric

Bnei Mitzvah

Dear Rabbi Tillman,
The Shabbat Service you celebrated for Brian’s Bar Mitzvah was wonderful in so many ways. I heard lots of wonderful comments about how meaningful it was to experience. Also, for people of other faiths, your service was the first time that they really understand what was going on.
I was so proud of Brian and saw you bring out the best in him. For me, it was a beautiful spiritual and faithful experience. You managed to delight both Jim and my Mother with an experience that could have been challenging for each in a different way. Your excellent relationship with Fr. John shone through and created a seamless connection that beautifully supported our interfaith family.
So many thanks and good wishes sent to you,
JoEllen

Dear Rabbi Tillman,
I would like to thank you for your help and guidance in leading my Bar Mitzvah service. So many people commented on what a beautiful service it was. Also, they all loved your speech almost as much as I did. I know I will do as you told me to do so. I had a lot of fun working with you!
From,
Jake

Memorials/Funerals

Dear Rabbi Tillman,
Your calls to me before Irv’s funeral made me feel so much more comfortable about facing the actual service. As I listened to your message about Irv, I saw his life pass before my heart. You presented him as just the sort of human being that he was – loving, generous, flawed and real. You brought him to life with your words, but you also sent him to an afterlife and made that a blessing for me, and others. You have such a gift. I guess that is why you are the Rabbi. I will look for a comparable Rabbi in San Antonio. If you have such a connection here, please have him call or send his name. Or, better yet, you can just fly down and spend time in what we call “Fiesta City”.
Thank you for such a joyful service,
Diane

Dearest Rabbi Tillman,
We want to thank you so much for speaking so beautifully at our mother’s funeral.
You made the day so much easier for us with your warmth and kindness.
Even though it was such a sad time for us – it was so nice to meet you and feel such a very personal touch.
Thank you again!
